Our Ministry
Ministering with Campus Crusade for Christ at The JESUS Film Project
One of the strategies of The JESUS Film Project includes the distribution of the film “JESUS,” a two-hour docudrama about the life of Christ based on the Gospel of Luke. The film has been seen in every country of the world and translated into hundreds of languages since its initial release in 1979.
Our goal with this film is to reach every nation, tribe, people and tongue, helping them see and hear the story of Jesus in a language they can understand. So whether a person speaks Swahili, French, or a language whose name is extremely difficult for most to pronounce, he or she will encounter the life and message of Jesus in a language “of the heart.” Many mission experts have acclaimed the “JESUS” film as one of the greatest evangelistic success stories of all time. The ultimate success of this film will not be measured by how many people have already seen it, but by how many will follow Him after seeing it.
Through use by The JESUS Film Project, and more than 1,500 Christian agencies, this powerful film has had more than 5 billion viewing’s worldwide since its release. Not only did these billions watch the story of Jesus, but they also heard it in a language they easily understood.
As a result, more than 200 million people have indicated decisions to accept Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.
Doug serves at The JESUS Film Project on the Multimedia Design team and Karen on the Field Information Services team. The Multimedia Design team develops media tools (websites, CD-Roms, DVDs and more) and strategies that lift up Jesus and draw people all over the world into a relationship with Christ.
One example of a tool that Doug’s team has developed is: The JESUS: Fact Or Fiction? DVD draws people to Christ through interactive video segments. This DVD contains known Christian scientists, philosophers and theologians who answer more than 50 of life’s toughest questions. It also includes the “JESUS” film. To date, more than 700,000 DVDs have been distributed. Click here for more information.
The Field Information Services team communicates the ministry’s work worldwide, via various media formats, in an accurate, professional and timely manner to donors, staff and the public.
We are excited to serve with The JESUS Film Project. We are able to use our gifts and talents that God has given us to minister to others.
Doug’s role on Multimedia Design is to coordinate and help create media strategies and tools to reach people around the world with the message of Christ. He also creates the plans to promote these tools to churches, partners and other ministering Christians.
Karen’s role on Field Information Services is to nurture relationships with “JESUS” film field teams as she gathers information about “JESUS” film activity around the world. She then communicates that information to The JESUS Film Project top donors, staff and others.
As a result of what we are doing lives are touched and changed for eternity. You can play a part in helping change lives. Click here to find out more.
